VISION OF ST. CYPRIAN OF CARTHAGE  EPISCOPAL CHURCH.

St. Cyprian of Carthage is a new church whose Vision is to strive to deepen our knowledge of God, open to His healing Love and search for all who seek a spiritual home.  We will strive to make the love of God through Jesus Christ known through Worship, Community, Pastoral Care and Evangelism.  It is our dream that St. Cyprian will be a healthy, growing, trans-generational and trans-cultural church within the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio.

We will strive to make our church God-centered, Christ-exalting, Bible saturated and Justice-pursuing.  Our dream is for our church to be one where every tribe and race can worship the living Lord together. A church where every one will be valued, respected and treated equally.  So we pray:  O Lord, make it happen.

MISSION STATEMENT.

The mission of St. Cyprian of Carthage is to Worship the Lord in sincerity and Truth,
bring people to
Membership in his Church, nurture them to Maturity so that they can
Minister both within and outside the church to the Praise and Glory of God’s Holy Name.

Outreach Program

 Community Lunch
We continue to serve lunch to the community every last Sunday of the month at our church hall. Our present average attendance is 23. We hope to increase this number substantially by reaching out to more shelters and to more of our immediate neighbors in the downtown community.

 Dinner to a Shelter
As from June 10, 2007 we will be serving dinner to a shelter in Columbus  and there after every second Sunday of the month.  We do need your help - either hands - on, donations, or advice.

 Community Events
During the year we participated in the Columbus Children Street Parade and had a stall at the Columbus Health Center where we distributed information leaflet. We also distributed information leaflets to homes in our immediate neighborhood and at the Neighborhood Association annual event.

 Easter Eggs donation
The youth and Sunday school children joined together to prepare Easter eggs for the homeless. A total of about two hundred Easter eggs were donated to Faith Mission. Our goal was to reach out to as many unchurched
